The first trailer has arrived online for found footage horror The Pyramid, in which something sinister is lurking in one of the ancient Egyptian structures.
The first directorial effort from High Tension scribe Grégory Levasseur, the new film follows a group of archaeologists who stumble upon a previously undiscovered pyramid in the Egyptian desert.
Intrigued, they decide to have a bit of an explore, and sure enough, there are all manner of centuries-old nasties waiting for them within.

While the set-up might feel a little familiar, horror fans will have noted the presence of Alexandre Aja on production duties, while Inbetweeners star James Buckley is amongst the principle players. Whether or not he gets to say the word “clunge” remains to be seen.
Co-starring Ashley Hinshaw, Denis O’Hare and Christa-Marie Nicola, The Pyramid will open in the UK on 5 December 2014.
