By now you’ve probably heard the news about DC’s Batgirl comic getting a new creative team and a major stylistic overhaul. But before that new team can take the reins of the series, Gail Simone has to wrap up her long tenure on the book. Batgirl #34 marks Simone’s final issue on the series (not counting next month’s Futures End one-shot). In this final chapter of “Deadline,” Batgirl teams up with her old Birds of Prey crew to battle the villain Obscura.

Batgirl #34 is written by Simone and illustrated by Fernando Pesarin, Jonathan Glapion, and Matt Ryan. Look for this issue to be released on Wednesday, August 13, with a cover price of $2.99.
