Sony announced today that David Slade will direct the first two episodes of the TV drama series Powers, an adaptation of the graphic novel by Brian Michael Bendis and Michael Avon Oeming.
While Slade is most recently known for his work on NBC’s Hannibal and AMC’s Breaking Bad, he also has a background in feature films having directed The Twilight Saga: Eclipse and Hard Candy.
Powers is a live-action, hour-long show that will be free for PlayStation Plus subscribers. The TV show follows two cops who investigate superhero-related crimes and cases in Chicago. The first season, set to premiere in December, will be approximately 10 episodes.
