Small chairs. No phones.
Those were just some of the gripes Howard Stern jokingly had about Jennifer Aniston and Justin Theroux’s wedding. The radio host talked about the secret nuptials during his Monday SiriusXM show. Apparently, he was “miserable” after being chosen to make a speech at the reception, and spent the first 10 minutes complaining.
“My speech at the Theroux-Aniston wedding was basically I got up for 10 minutes and started whining about these chairs they had,” he said. “They had these little tiny [chairs] … like little pillow poufs. I’m 6-foot-fucking-5!” And no phones. “I got up and I said … ‘Why can’t I have my fucking cellphone?’ In other words, I don’t want to take a picture of you two! I really don’t. I want my cellphone so after I make this speech I can call my car and get the fuck outta here! … People were laughing very hard at my misery.”
Of course, Stern was joking — he’s a good friend of Aniston and Theroux’s. He and his wife, Beth, have even vacationed with them. “I’m very friendly with Justin. I like him very much, I really admire him,” Stern gushed.
Stern also revealed that Jimmy Kimmel officiated the wedding. “Jim was the preacher, you know the guy who did the ceremony. He did a great job, you know, he did a beautiful job,” he said.
Aniston and Theroux married Wednesday at their mansion in Bel Air in front of about 70 family and friends, including Stern, Kimmel, Courteney Cox, Ellen DeGeneres, Orlando Bloom and Chelsea Handler.
