James Gunn will reportedly return to write and direct the Guardians of the Galaxy sequel for Marvel Studios, though it’s unclear whether or not co-writer Nicole Perlman will be joining him.

In an interview with TheWrap during Comic-Con, Perlman told the site that Gunn would return, due to the film getting such a positive reaction from press (including IGN’s Daniel Krupa). “Of course they would want to make a sequel as long as it does well and people are excited about it, they’ll wanna do a sequel. So, it’s going to happen,” says Perlman.
