The worlds of country and pop music collide all the time — just ask Taylor Swift — but they’ve never been mashed up quite like this before.
Smule, an online company that’s “making music social, interactive and collaborative again,” shared a video on its Facebook page in which Jason Derulo and Luke Bryan perform one of the best duets we’ve heard in a while. And they weren’t even in the same room.
The country crooner used Smule’s Sing! karaoke app to create the virtual duet by adding a recording of himself performing Derulo’s hit “Want to Want Me” to the pop and R&B singer’s video on the music-sharing platform. The result is a split-screen clip of the two artists singing a pretty great duet — Bryan really nails those falsetto high notes. Check out the whole video below:
