Jeffrey Tambor stopped by “The Late Late Show with James Corden” on Wednesday night and reflected on the time he and the “Transparent” cast met Caitlyn Jenner over dinner.
“She’s amazing,” Tambor said, “and gorgeous and very dedicated.” The actor, who plays Maura, a transgender woman on “Transparent,” told the late-night host that he was “humbled” when he met the former Olympian. “She was fabulous and she is really, really well-versed, and she’s committed,” he said.
“Transparent” creator Jill Soloway recently revealed that she’s invited Jenner to come to the set. While she doesn’t know if the Vanity Fair cover star would want to act on the show, Soloway said she would “definitely want to incorporate the fact that [Jenner] came out into this season. Just to have that base conversation somewhere in a scene, for sure.”
Season 2 of “Transparent” premieres on Dec. 4 on Amazon.
