The first trailer for David O. Russell’s latest film, the biopic “Joy” (unofficial subtitle: “At Least Five Oscar Nominations”), is here! Jennifer Lawrence stars as Joy Mangano, the single mother who invented the Miracle Mop and today holds over 100 patents. If that sounds like standard uplifting fluff, don’t be fooled — early previews suggest the film is a fair bit darker than 2015’s other massively lauded movie about Joy.

“Joy” also features Bradley Cooper, Robert De Niro, and Edgar Ramirez. The film opens Christmas Day.
