When a teeny, tiny character named Marcel the Shell (voiced by comedian Jenny Slate) was introduced to the interwebs, everyone went crazy for his tiny shell problems.

And in case fans were wondering what Marcel sounds like singing, Jenny Slate went on Thursday night’s “Late Show with David Letterman” to perform a song in character.

She definitely does not sound human.
