Jon Stewart and Stephen Colbert are making Nov. 4 a little more interesting. As in previous years, both “The Daily Show” and “The Colbert Report” will go live on election night — allowing the hosts to make quips about the state of American government as the results roll in.
“The Daily Show” will call its program “Democalypse 2014: America Remembers It Forgot To Vote” — a title which will likely be too real — and will feature an appearance by Republican National Committee chairman Reince Priebus. “The Colbert Report” will then go on with “Midterms ‘014: Detour To Gridlock: An Exciting Thing That I Am Totally Interested In—Wait! Don’t Change The Channel. Look At This Video Of A Duckling Following A Cat Dressed Like A Shark Riding A Roomba! ‘014!” in which Colbert will discuss the election with Andrew Sullivan of The Dish.
Stewart and Colbert are seasoned pros, having covered the 2012 election live. After you’ve cast your ballot, tune into the specials Tuesday, Nov. 4, on Comedy Central.
