BFFs hug like this, right?

Hailey Baldwin shared a black-and-white snap of her and Justin Bieber on New Year’s Eve. The 19-year-old model, also known for being besties with Kendall Jenner, accompanied Bieber and his family on a year-end tropical vacation. The scenic trip was well-documented on the “Sorry” singer’s Instagram, where he shared photos of his younger siblings, Jaxon, 6, and Jazmyn, 7, and his dad.

The snuggly photo has caused some to question whether Baldwin and Bieber are truly just friends. The two have denied any sparks of romance, with Baldwin explaining to E! News in December 2014, “I’ve known him since I was so young — since I was like 13 — and we’ve just been good friends over the years.” Looks like they won’t be trying to totally quiet the rumor mill in 2016.

Further examination of Bieber’s Instagram is inconclusive. Does one give a wet willy to a best friend or a love interest? It’s hard to say for sure.
