Bit of a cool one this, renowned scratch DJ (and award-winning graphic novelist) Kid Koala has teamed up with KK Barrett (Her, Where the Wild Things Are) to bring his graphic novel Nufonia Must Fall to life using puppets animated live on miniature sets.
A team of puppeteers will recreate each scene from the novel using miniature sets and cinematic lighting, projected onto a large screen in real time. Kid Koala has written an original score for the event and will be playing the decks and piano alongside the screening, accompanied by the Afiara Quartet.

It’s happening on Monday 18 August, and this is the only UK performance of this as part of a world tour. You can get more details here.
