Nothing lasts forever, and neither does Kitson. Once known as the see-and-be-seen clothing store for young Hollywood’s tabloid darlings, the store is now closing all 17 locations, including its famous boutique on Robertson Boulevard in Los Angeles.

If you are somehow unfamiliar with the store, in the mid- to late 2000s, it was the place you were most likely to see a celebrity in the wild (Paris Hilton practically lived there). The paparazzi knew that, making it a destination for anyone who wanted their photo in Us Weekly that week.

With the news of the retailer’s demise, this is the perfect opportunity to look back at many of the celebrities who knew a little retail therapy was the best way to get attention.
