Kylie Jenner is used to critics. The 17-year-old reality star literally grew up on camera, and it would be an understatement to say she likes sharing photos of herself. Jenner has 22.8 million followers on Instagram, but it’s clear that not all of them are her fans.
On Saturday, Jenner preemptively went on the defensive against body bullies when she shared a photo of herself getting her makeup done in a low-cut black swimsuit that she initially captioned, “Behind the scenes. (yes I gained weight there I said it so u don’t have too) :).” The teen later swapped the caption just to say, “Behind the scenes.”
It’s unfortunate that Jenner felt like she had to get ahead of negative comments in the first place, but good for her for standing up to body shamers.
Of course, the young star’s appearance has been the topic of much debate, which prompted Jenner to recently admit to getting lip injections after months of speculation and claims that she was merely over-lining her lips.
“I’m just not ready to talk to reporters about my lips yet because everyone always picks us apart. I want to admit to the lips, but people are so quick to judge me on everything, so I might have tiptoed around the truth, but I didn’t lie,” she admitted on an episode of “Keeping Up with the Kardashians.”
