Marvel Announces 3 New Spider-Man Comics

This November, Marvel’s spider-centric event, Spider-Verse, promises more Spidey characters than you can shake a web-shooter at. On hand to discuss the event at San Diego Comic Con were moderator Nick Lowe, writers Dan Slott, Nick Spencer and Mark Waid, artist Humberto Ramos and colorist Edgar Delgado. The panel covered a number of titles, in turn introducing three new ‘Verse tie-ins set to make their debut.

The panel began with a fun anecdote about Ramos’ tardiness, as Waid insisted that any entrance be met with absolutely zero fanfare (we obliged). From there the the panelists discussed the Spider books currently on the shelves, showing some interior art and variant covers set to come in the coming months, including an awesome Skottie Young cover littered with baby Spider-Men. Though Spider-Verse doesn’t officially kick off until November, books like Superior Spider-Man and Amazing Spider-Man will set the stage, the panel revealing art (and a mysterious new villain) set to appear in the pages of Superior Spider-Man #33
