At the 2015 Emmys, Jimmy Kimmel presented the award for Outstanding Lead Actor in a Comedy Series. Instead of simply reading off the winner’s name on the card in his hands, Kimmel cut out the name, ate the name and said, “I don’t know, who should I give it to? This is the worst part.”
The award ended up going to Jeffrey Tambor for his role as Maura Pfefferman on the Amazon show “Transparent,” but before that, Kimmel made fun of the improbability of Matt LeBlanc winning for the role of playing himself on “Joey” “Episodes.”
When Kimmel returned to his seat, he “apologized” to LeBlanc, but perhaps didn’t get any sort of forgiveness.
