2015 was the year of short-ish hair, and Miley Cyrus got on board with just days to spare.

The bold songstress debuted an adorable ombré bob on Instagram Monday, the product of what appears to be an attempt to grow out her pixie cut.

Cyrus’ locks have slowly but surely gotten longer and longer under those wild wigs over the past few months, so it’s refreshing to see this new, softer look.

No word on if she’s growing it as long as it was in the “old Miley” days, and no word on how long this look will actually last — so let’s all enjoy it for now.
