Miley Cyrus Will Bum You Out With 'My Sad Christmas Song'

It’s the most wonderful depressing time of the year, according to Miley Cyrus.

On Christmas Eve, the 23-year-old released a new tune called “My Sad Christmas Song” and, unlike her beautiful cover of “Silent Night,” it’s a bit of a downer.

The song, which is about missing a former partner and being alone during the holidays, is very Miley to say the least.

“This is my sad Christmas song/ So I light another bong,” Cyrus sings on the moody track. She later croons, “My little sister says I’m the Grinch/ But my mom thinks I’m just a bitch.”

The song fades out with Cyrus repeating the lines, “Missing you on fuckin’ Christmas, why did you have to go?/ Wishing you a Merry Christmas, know I miss you so.”

Since the song is about a past love, it shouldn’t surprise anyone that speculation as to which ex inspired the depressing tune has already begun.

While Cyrus was most recently linked to Victoria’s Secret model Stella Maxwell and dated Patrick Schwarzenegger for several months, ex-fiancé Liam Hemsworth is still being cited as a possible candidate. The song seems to refer to a relationship that spanned at least two holiday seasons, which would certainly apply to Hemsworth, who dated Cyrus for four years before calling off their engagement in September 2013.

Plus, there is this blast from Christmas past:
