The previously announced Major League Gaming app is now available on Xbox One, letting users watch all sorts of eSports content, including live programming. The app’s arrival on Xbox One comes just a day before MLG Anaheim kicks off this weekend in Southern California.
In addition to special live broadcasts, you can use the MLG app on Xbox One to watch other content, including MLG’s original show the eSports Report. You don’t need an Xbox Live Gold subscription to access the app, as Microsoft dropped the paid requirement for entertainment apps last month.
“MLG showcases the best in competitive gaming and we will continue to release new competitive content and introduce new streamers via the MLG.tv platform in the coming months,” MLG CEO and co-founder Sundance DiGiovanni said in a statement on the Xbox Wire.
The MLG app for Xbox 360 launched in April.
