NBA 2K15's New Gameplay Trailer Shows Shaq in a Suit, LeBron in a Cavs Jersey

2K has released the latest trailer for NBA 2K15, and while it does show a good deal of dribbling and dunking, it also showcases the game’s presentation–including the new pre-game show starring TNT’s Ernie Johnson and Shaquille O’Neal.

Whereas the first trailer focused on cover star Kevin Durant, this one contains a wide variety of players and teams. This includes our first look at certain players in their new teams’ jerseys, such as LeBron James on the Cleveland Cavaliers and Lance Stephenson on the Charlotte Hornets. We also get a peek at player introductions and other parts of the in-game presentation.

The visuals continue to impress, although–as you might expect–there is a noticeable gap between what’s seen on the court and in the studio for the pre-game show. The lip-syncing, in particular, doesn’t appear to be up to par with what the rest of the game looks like. That said, the banter between EJ and Shaq looks as if it could make the show worth watching, even if it will lack much of what makes TNT’s Inside the NBA show (read: Charles Barkley) so special.

2K15 is scheduled for release on October 7 for Xbox One, PlayStation 4, Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, and PC. The PC version, which at times is an afterthought with sports games, will look even better than the current-gen console versions and contain all modes found in those versions.
