Warner Bros. has released a new trailer for upcoming fighting game Mortal Kombat X, showing off veteran combatant Raiden and his devastating new moves. In Mortal Kombat X, due out in 2015, every fighter will have three variations that enhance a player’s overall abilities. As we see in the video above, narrated by series creator Ed Boon, Raiden’s three variations are:
- Thunder God Raiden — Enhances his lightning attacks
- Displacer Raiden – Lets him teleport
- Storm Lord Raiden – Allows him to create lightning traps
Make sure you watch the entire video, as there is a eye-popping surprise at the end. Mortal Kombat X is currently in development at NetherRealm Studios and will launch in 2015 for Xbox 360, Xbox One, PlayStation 3, PlayStation 4, and PC.
Mortal Kombat fans eager for more information about Mortal Kombat X don’t have much longer to wait, as Boon teased last week that some kind of announcement about the game will be made during Gamescom, which runs August 13-17 in Cologne, Germany.
