In a tweet already being analyzed from here to Yavin, “Star Wars: Episode VII” director J.J. Abrams posted an image of a robotic hand that could be a clue about the new film.
Abrams sent out the tweet to thank participants in the “Force for Change” contest and to congratulate D.C. Barns, who won a trip to the London set and will appear in a scene.

The hand could simply be that of a droid. Or it could hold a larger clue about the new film’s storyline. One of the rumored plots points reported by Badass Digest involves the discovery of a Jedi hand (WARNING: Link has possible spoilers.)
Cinema Blend speculates that the hand in the image could be Luke Skywalker’s prosthetic, or even Darth Vader’s.
Of course, it might simply be a handy prop for holding a letter… or maybe just Abrams trolling the rumor mill.
That’s not the only new clue circulating online. Deadline reported last week that Daisy Ridley has been signed for two more “Star Wars” films after “Episode VII.”
If true, that would be a sign her character will play a major, and possibly central, role in the series.
