Warner Bros. is allegedly looking at a 2019 release date for the next Batman solo film, starring — and possibly directed by — Ben Affleck.
According to Latino-Review‘s sources, this standalone film is tentatively titled The Batman. Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice is supposed to wrap up production by the holidays of this year (with a scheduled May 6, 2016, release date), with Affleck expected to don the cape again next year for filming of the Justice League movie.
As such, a Batman film could go into production sometime in 2017 or 2018, after Affleck has time to direct his prohibition drama Live By Night. Of course, there’s also speculation over whether Affleck would do more than just star in the Batman standalone film, such as helming the superhero flick. Either way, his schedule sounds pretty busy.
