Nicki Minaj has always called it like she sees it.
It’s been five years since Minaj wowed us with her unforgettable rap verse in Kayne West’s “Monster,” permanently altering the fabric of the male-dominated rap industry. From that moment on she has used her platform to encourage girls to stay in school, subvert problematic gender norms and call out racism in the music industry.
This Halloween, the rapper found another target in the terribly offensive Bill Cosby costume that has been making the Internet rounds. The image shows a man dressed as a woman wearing an inflatable Bill Cosby doll that gropes her chest and puts drugs in her drink.
“Our generation is so desensitized,” Minaj captioned the photo.

She reposted the image originally found on the account of Desert Storm Records co-founder DJ Clue. Exemplifying the problem she described in her own post, DJ Clue poked fun at the costume with the caption, “This gotta stop #PillCosby .”
Minaj, on the other hand, avoided the typical celebrity Halloween pitfalls and dressed up as a “fairy fkn princess.”

We think it might be time to give Minaj the Halloween crown for speaking up for what’s right.
In the meantime, we’ll leave you with this:
