Robin Thicke's New Album Is Reportedly Called 'Paula' In Attempt To Win Back Paula Patton

Robin Thicke’s latest music endeavor may also be an attempt to get back together with estranged wife Paula Patton. The “Blurred Lines” singer will name his next album after her and call it “Paula,” his rep confirmed to Us Weekly.

Thicke debuted the first single off the album, “Get Her Back,” in May at the Billboard Music Awards, and if you can’t tell by the title, it’s about, uh, getting someone back. “Paula” will be Thicke’s seventh album, but it is the highly anticipated follow-up to the chart-topping “Blurred Lines,” which debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard 200 chart and was nominated for a Grammy. It’s set for release on July 1. Thicke is scheduled to debut more new material off the record at the BET Awards on June 29.

Thicke and Patton split back in February after nearly nine years of marriage. At the time, the high school sweethearts made a joint statement to People and said, “We will always love each other and be best friends, however, we have mutually decided to separate at this time.”

Since the break up, Thicke has made many public statements about missing Patton, even opening songs in her honor. When performing “Get Her Back” for the first time onstage, he said, “All right, y’all, help me get her back.” Recently, he dedicated a song to her in Fairfax, Virginia, and told the crowd, “For y’all that don’t know, me and my wife separated but I’m trying to get my girl back.” Good luck, dude.
