Shondaland, the production company of TV queen Shonda Rhimes, is developing a new comedy series for ABC.
Titled “Splitsville,” the show — conceived by “Trophy Wife” creators Emily Halpern and Sarah Haskins — will portray divorced residents of a suburban cul-de-sac who come together to raise their children.
Shondaland is responsible for such hits as “Grey’s Anatomy,” “Scandal” and “How to Get Away with Murder.”
Though you likely associate Rhimes’ name with dramas, we feel very confident that she’ll tackle the comedy TV sphere with aplomb. She did, after all, write hit Britney Spears dramedy “Crossroads.”
We love rock n’ roll Shondaland.
