Before Zach Woods found success on “The Office” and HBO’s “Silicon Valley,” he had a ton of awful auditions, and he shared a few with HuffPost Live’s Ricky Camilleri on Monday, including the time he read for a part on “Law & Order: SVU” in which he would have played “a cognitively disabled molestation victim who would fly into rages whenever he saw doctors because a doctor had abused him.”

“And I sold it. I tried to make it so serious and give such gravity to it,” Woods said. “It was so offensive, I’m sure.”

The audition, which Woods called both “humiliating” and “mortifying,” ended with the casting director telling him it was “a hard part” and sending him away.

“It was one of the worst things that has happened, not just in my life, but in America,” Woods said.
