As readers we often find ourselves attached to a particular series or status quo and feel a certain sense of sadness when that status quo changes to make way for something new. As much as superhero comics are always focused on the next big development, it’s rare that we have the opportunity to go back and enjoy the further adventures of a hero at a particular point in their history. And when we do, all too often it just isn’t the same. Maybe it’s because the dust has barely settled from Superior Spider-Man, or the fact that the series had enough potential to go on for years, but Superior Spider-Man #32 doesn’t fall victim to that problem. It’s almost as if Otto Octavius’ spirit never left his cozy spot inside Peter Parker’s brain. Superior Spider-Man #32 hits the ground running and reminds us why this series was so enjoyable in the first place.
