Taylor Swift Drops 'Out Of The Woods,' Second Song Off '1989'

Taylor Swift began teasing “Out of the Woods” last week when she posted an Instagram photo that hinted at the song’s debut. On Monday, she previewed 15 seconds of the track on “Good Morning America,” and finally, early Tuesday morning, Swift premiered the song itself. “Out of the Woods” is the second track released from her new album, “1989.”

While on “Good Morning America,” Swift showed a video, describing the song as a way to deal with the “fragility” of relationships. “This was a relationship where I was kind of, living day to day, wondering where it was going, if it was going to go anywhere, if it was going to end the next day,” she said.

A recent Rolling Stone profile of Swift also discussed “Out of the Woods,” which seems to be about Harry Styles. According to Rolling Stone, Swift said it was inspired by a snowmobile accident with an ex.

Co-written by fun.’s Jack Antonoff, it’s easy to see his influence play into the track’s hook. We dare you to get “Out of the Woods” out of your head.
