'The Affair' Wins Best Drama Series At The 2015 Golden Globes

“The Affair” won the award for Best Drama Series at the 2015 Golden Globes Sunday night.

Created by Sarah Treem and Hagai Levi, “The Affair” tells the story of a budding extramarital relationship from the distinct perspectives of its two participants. The show wrapped up its freshman season on Showtime in December, and has been renewed for 10 more episodes, to air in 2015.

“The Affair” bested “Downton Abbey,” “Game of Thrones,” “The Good Wife” and “House of Cards” in a year in which no competing nominees had ever won the category.

Last year, smash AMC hit “Breaking Bad” went home with the title.
