Move over, ladies. The fellas at the 2015 Met Gala just showed us how it’s really done.

“Chinese Whispers: Tales of the East in Art, Film, and Fashion” is a theme that, we admit, seems to lend itself better to women’s clothing. Perhaps that’s why some of the men at the event opted for a more dapper than theme-appropriate look.

Fortunately, more than a handful of guys did take some risks, stepping out in beautifully intricate suits in an array of shiny colors, unconventional tuxes and sweet embellishments (we’re looking at you, Jay-Z). Whether they abided by the evening’s theme or not, all these dudes looked seriously handsome.
