We already know that The Last of Us Remastered, the upgraded and enhanced PlayStation 4 version of last year’s PlayStation 3 game from Naughty Dog, will cost only $50. But some owners of a PS3 copy were wondering if there would be any deal in place for upgrading to the PS4 version. Last week, Sony stated that it would not offer a deal. Now, however, retailer GameStop has a promotion in place to discount The Last of Us Remastered for owners of the original.
Starting July 27, you can bring in your PS3 copy to a GameStop store and get 50 percent off a new copy of the Remastered version. $25 isn’t bad for a great game and even better DLC. But you only have a few days to do it. The promotion ends on August 2.
The Last of Us Remastered launches on July 29. It features an array of graphical upgrades, and now runs at 1080p and a steady 60 frames per second. It comes with the main game, the Left Behind single-player DLC, a couple multiplayer packs, and developer’s commentary. Any of your PS3 multiplayer microtransactions will also be unlocked in the PS4 version. In addition, Naughty Dog revealed last week that both versions of the game will get more multiplayer DLC in the coming months.
Will you pick up The Last of Us on PS4? Let us know in the comments!
