Bless Comic-Con for all it brings us — glorious cosplay, celebrity-filled panels, superhero selfies, and of course, exclusive trailers that always find their way onto the Internet.
The latest clip to leak is the trailer for next summer’s “X-Men: Apocalypse.” The three-minute video, which was shown during the Fox panel on Saturday, is full of material we’ve yet to see. And we suggest you watch it now, while it’s still online!
Speaking about the film, director Bryan Singer said, “It takes past ten years after ‘Days Of Future Past’ in a completely different world. Mutants are for the most part embraced and accepted by society. That’s where we find our characters, and we find them in all different places.”
The trailer also offers a glimpse at the new heroes and villains, including Apocalypse (played by Oscar Isaac), and reveals what looks like a twist ending involving James McAvoy’s Professor X. No sign of Olivia Munn’s latex Psylocke costume though …
Singer also unveiled the first teaser poster for the film, which focuses heavily on Apocalypse.
“X-Men: Apocalypse” will hit theaters May 27, 2016.
