Valve has launched a mysterious Team Fortress 2 teaser website that features a countdown clock that will strike zero tonight at 5 p.m. PDT/8 p.m. EDT. The URL features the word “suspense,” but there’s nothing more to go on right now. Check back tonight for more.
Team Fortress 2 originally launched in 2007 through The Orange Box, a special compilation pack for Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, and PC that included the team-based shooter and copies of Half-Life 2, Half-Life 2: Episode One, Half-Life 2: Episode Two, and Portal.
In 2011, Valve made Team Fortress 2 a free-to-play title. Like many free-to-play games, you can buy virtual items in Team Fortress 2, but Valve stresses that, “You don’t need to pay to win.”
