The preposterously titled The 100-Year-Old Man Who Climbed Out the Window and Disappeared has been Sweden’s surprise hit of the year.

Based on the hugely successful novel by Swedish author Jonas Jonasson, our exclusive clip shows the exact moment that Allan Karlsson escapes from his window as his 100th birthday party rages on in his retirement home.

Things, inevitably, spiral off into unexpected and cheerfully amusing situations, whilst flashing back to the great adventures of his life.
