We somehow didn’t receive our invitation to Kris Jenner’s supremely luxe Great Gatsby-themed 60th birthday party Friday night. Luckily, we can now pretend we were there with the full video tribute her daughters played for their momager, uploaded to Kim’s YouTube channel Saturday afternoon.
The tribute begins with footage of a music video Jenner made for her 30th birthday, expressing love to her friends and favorite LA spots with a twist on the Randy Newman song “I Love LA.” A young Kris sings to the camera (credited at the end as “Kristen Kardashian” — oh how times have changed) with cuts to various friends and family members, including a very young Kim, Kourtney and Khloe.
The video then transitions into a brand-new 2o15 version of the song, sung by Kourtney, Kim, Khloe, Kylie and Kendall, with appearances from current loved ones like Justin Bieber and Caitlyn Jenner (in a bathtub). It also gives shout-outs to Kris’s favorite locations and designers, so if you’ve been wondering how to pronounce “Balmain,” this one’s for you! The vibe is very “musical toast performed at a wedding rehearsal dinner,” but like, expensively produced.
The bash, hosted by Jenner’s children at The Lot Studios in West Hollywood, also had plenty of Kris’ loved ones in physical attendance. Kanye West sang a special version of “Happy Birthday,” and the family celebrated with Tyga, Melanie Griffith, Lisa Rinna, John Legend and Chrissy Teigen.
