The heroes in a half shell — the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles — have been making a huge comeback. The IDW comic book series is consistently solid and the animated show on Nickelodeon is surprisingly good. And now there’s a new live-action movie about the characters Kevin Eastman and Peter Laird created back in 1984, and it’s just three weeks away! And today, IGN and a few other outlets were lucky enough to get an early look at two scenes from the upcoming reboot.
Producer Andrew Form was also on hand to share plenty of details with us as we traveled into the heart of Manhattan — where much of the movie was filmed — to witness April O’Neil’s (Megan Fox) first encounter with the dudes, as well as a big action scene on a snow-covered mountain. It was roughly 12 minutes of footage and, honestly, it’s looking like it’ll be a pretty entertaining movie.
