For a while, we thought YouTube channel Wirecrack (formerly Thug Notes) provided summaries for classic works of literature only. But we were delightfully wrong.

This week, Sparky Sweets PhD (Greg Edwards) explains what was really goin’ down in “The Hunger Games,” including what he loves about Katniss Everdeen.

“Just survivin’ this mess ain’t enough [for Katniss] no more. Now she gotta step up and try to smoke dem haters up in the capital. And that’s what I dig so much about Katniss,” he says.
