That’s the question that “Saturday Night Live” attempted to answer this weekend with an illuminating cold open starring Bobby Moynihan as North Korea’s supreme leader.

Rumors have been rife in recent weeks about Kim’s well-being, with media reports speculating that he may have gout, diabetes, or even a cheese addiction.

But “SNL’s” coiffed dictator has offered a very different explanation for why he’s been MIA.

“I told you, I broke my ankle while dunking over Michael Jordan,” he tells his military advisers in the clip. “The movie ‘Space Jam’ is about me.”
