Writer Peter J. Tomasi and artist Patrick Gleason are currently telling the story of Batman’s quest to resurrect Robin — aka his son Damian Wayne — in the pages of Batman & Robin.

With the shakeup in the Bat Family status quo in Batman & Robin #34, we got on the phone with Tomasi and Gleason to hear more about Batman’s harrowing quest to Apokolips to bring his son back to life.

IGN Comics: To get everyone up to speed, could you please recap the story so far?

Peter J. Tomasi: Sure. Damian died, and now Batman wants to do everything he can to bring him back. By hook or by crook, by going to Apokolips to try to make it happen, Bruce is on a mission from God, and he’s going to try to get his son back. That’s all you need to know.
