Nintendo announced today that it will host a Nintendo Direct video briefing on Monday, August 4, featuring “new details” for upcoming hack and slash Wii U game Hyrule Warriors. The event begins at 8 p.m. PDT/11 p.m. EDT on August 4, and we’ll bring you all the news as it is announced.
Hyrule Warriors is a collaboration between Tecmo Koei and Nintendo that meshes together the Dynasty Warriors and Legend of Zelda franchises. The game also features a local co-op mode where one person can play on the TV and the other using the Wii U Gamepad.
Due out September 26, Hyrule Warriors is one of a handful of upcoming Wii U games that Nintendo specifically called out earlier this week as part of its latest financial report, which was not so good. Nintendo says Hyrule Warriors, along with other marquee Nintendo titles like Super Smash Bros. and Bayonetta 2, should help the company get out of the red.
