Kelsey Grammer is set to appear as the villainous Harold Attinger in the upcoming Transformers: Age of Extinction, but he also gave fans a thrill with his recent appearance in Bryan Singer’s time-travel comic book movie X-Men: Days of Future Past. IGN was able to sit down with Grammer recently to talk about his role in Transformers. During the course of our conversation, we touched on his desire to reprise Beast in a larger capacity in a future X-Men movie.
“I would love to do another X-Men,” the actor enthused. “I loved playing Beast! I call him the blue guy and it was just a joy for me to be involved in that franchise and so when I heard they were making another one…It was Hugh (Jackman) that I was talking to and he said, ‘You’re going to be in the next one aren’t ya, mate!?!’ (Australian accent included). I said I didn’t even know about it. So I called Bryan and said, ‘Look I understand that you’re in a different timeline now and it’s the younger Beast, but there’s that little coda at the end. So I volunteered my services for it, because I really like being a part of that franchise.”
