Microsoft has added some new updates to the Xbox Rewards program in an effort to foster “positive, age-appropriate gaming experiences.” You’ll need to be 18 years or older in order to utilize these new updates.
Quests are simple activities that are done in the Xbox ecosystem such as “Play a game” or “Use the Xbox app” and grant points with each completed task. Points can be redeemed for things like Xbox gift cards and donations. They were previously only available to Game Pass Ultimate members, but starting tomorrow, January 7, PC Game Pass members will be able to partake in Quests.
There’s also a new requirement of minimum playtime to earn points through gameplay, and currently, Quests are only available for Game Pass titles. This doesn’t include games that require third-party launchers or Battle.net. Weekly streaks are back as well, where players can earn points by playing games for at least five days a week. Maintaining your streak week-over-week unlocks point multipliers up to 4x.
