Warning: For those of you who are convinced a friend stole from your collection — this may hit close to home.
Two 20-year-old men from Kōbe have been arrested for stealing a 15-year-old’s Yu-Gi-Oh! card collection. The 320 stolen cards were reportedly worth about 70,000 yen (equivalent to approximately $685 USD).
According to Kōbe Shinbun NEXT (via Anime News Network), the men stole the card collection upon visiting their “friend” — only to find his place empty, thus vulnerable to the thievery of his Yu-Gi-Oh! cards, which were resold by the thieves.
