Lisa Bonet may not have spoken publicly about the allegations surrounding Bill Cosby, her former TV dad on “The Cosby Show,” but according to daughter Zoe Kravitz, she has a few thoughts on the matter.
In an interview with The Guardian, Kravitz explained that her mom is “just as disgusted and concerned as everyone else is,” adding, “But I don’t think she has any insight. It’s news to her as well.”
The “X-Men: First Class” actress also admitted that her mother would “plead the fifth” whenever talk of Cosby came up. “I think she’s just staying out of it,” she said.
But that isn’t to say Bonet doesn’t care about what’s going on. Kravitz also told the paper, “She’s a very straightforward person. If there was something she felt the world needed to know that would help this case or help any woman who had been abused, she would say something.”
Cosby has been accused of sexual assault by more than 50 women, 35 of whom shared their stories in a New York Magazine feature in July.
The comedian is facing a criminal investigation, but has yet to be charged. He is expected to testify under oath on Oct. 9, marking the first time he will be ordered to give a sworn deposition since a testimony he gave in a 2005 Pennsylvania case, during which he admitted to drugging women.
