We call Grady Hendrix’s Horrorstör “cute and quite funny in a Scooby Doo kind of way” until things get a little darker. Lauren Beukes’ Broken Monsters, however, features monsters that “will keep you up all night.” Pick your poison: The books on this week’s list run the gamut from clever to terrifying.
