“Orange Is the New Black” star Dascha Polanco has officially changed up her look.

The actress took to Instagram on Sunday, Sept. 7, to share a snap of the new purple hairdo she debuted at New York Fashion Week.

“Umm..I’m just saying tho #nyfw #hitmypart,” she captioned the photo.

In an interview on Monday with Latina magazine, the star explained her decision to leave her old locks behind.

“You know, I like to take risks and play with my hair,” she said. “It’s the time to do it, so why not?”

Why not indeed. Polanco looks amazing, and we can’t wait to see what fierce ensemble the star breaks out next.
