The Hellboy franchise is still going strong, having just celebrated its 20th anniversary this past March. Currently, Dark Horse publishes two ongoing, Hellboy-themed comics. Hellboy in Hell follows the continued adventures of the plucky hero after death as he navigates the strange realm of the damned. Meanwhile, the various B.P.R.D.: Hell on Earth comics focus on Hellboy’s former allies as they defend the planet in the aftermath of an apocalyptic disaster. And that’s to say nothing of the various spinoff projects involving characters like Lobster Johnson and Abe Sapien.
