Holy Schnikes! 'Tommy Boy' Is 20 Years Old But Chris Farley Is Still Hilarious

Two decades later, there still isn’t a fat guy who can rock a little coat quite like Chris Farley.

That’s right: “Tommy Boy,” the classic Farley/David Spade road trip comedy, came out on March 31, 1995. Luckily, the endlessly watchable (and quotable) comedy is currently on Netflix, but you can also remember some of the movie’s funniest moments right here, thanks to the magic of GIFs.

There are so many things to love about this movie. The plucky, ’90s comedy score. The tried-and-true “Save the factory, save the town” plot line, or even just the nostalgia for a time when kids graduated college and immediately got jobs. Plus, Rob Lowe plays a complete a-hole. You don’t see much of that in 2015.

But the real reason we love “Tommy Boy” (and why we voluntarily suffered through “Black Sheep”) is the late, great Chris Farley’s hilarious performance.

Everyone has that one friend from college who was basically Tommy Callahan Jr.

You know, the lovable, overweight stoner who celebrated D-pluses and answered questions on a final like this.

The one who took forever to graduate.

The guys who relies on his great sense of humor, his friends (and often his rich father) to get him through life.

He has his own catchphrases.

He’s easily amused.

But it’s not like he doesn’t know his limitations.

He still gets overwhelmed at times.

Like, REALLY overwhelmed.

And when things don’t work out, he breaks down just like anybody would.

But he’s got a softer side, too.

And he knows the importance of family.

All in all, he’s the kind of guy you always want to have around.

We miss you, big guy.
