Jay Leno Reportedly Eying New CNBC Show About Cars

Jay Leno is reportedly close to securing a deal for his first regular television hosting vehicle since “The Tonight Show.”

According to the Hollywood Reporter, the comedian’s new show will center around his love of cars, and air on cable network CNBC in primetime. After passing “The Tonight Show” to successor Jimmy Fallon in February, Leno reportedly began speaking to several networks about housing his future project, including A&E, History, CNN and the Tribune stations. Ultimately, he remained close to his NBC roots. Sources told the Hollywood Reporter that no start date has been set for the show.

Huffington Post reached out to CNBC and Leno’s rep and will update this post accordingly.
